ELB is proud to partner with the San Diego County Office of Education to create a series of Learning Labs that address community and industry needs.
Customized Learning Labs
Over the past few years, ELB has partnered with the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) to provide interactive technology for their Integrated Technology Services (ITS) building.
With the deployment of technology underway, the SDCOE Curriculum Department also wanted to modernize some of their learning spaces with flexible furniture to create a model for districts and schools around the county.
ELB was asked to provide furniture designs and drawings for the new Innovation Labs building, a facility that can be used by all County schools for Career and Technical project based learning. The available labs include:
Biotech Lab, Advanced Manufacturing Lab, Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Lab, STEAM Lab, Design Ready, and Future Ready Esports.
With these guidelines in mind, ELB’s design team set out to identify the ideal furniture mix to fit these scenarios. The outcome is an impressive and inspiring facility that is now being used and enjoyed by students, teachers, and the community alike.
